The Good Times start the new year with some new officers: Don Baltz and
Don Hansen are co-presidents, Stan Stanton remains as vice president as
does Debbie Martinson as treasurer, and Cathy Demars takes over as
Secretary. Our thanks go out to Judd and Joyce Ferris who have done a
phenomenal job for four years. Their dedication to square dancing in
general and to the Good Times is unquestionable. At the Dec 16th dance
they were presented with a plaque recognizing their efforts.
Also attending the Dec 16th dance were members of Rubik's Cube Youth
Square Dancers from Cedar City, Utah. Caller/teacher Pat Matthews, his
wife and his assistant, David, brought four youngsters, averaging about
12 years old, to dance with us during the mainstream tips. They did very
well and their presence certainly brightened up our dance. They were
delighted with the reception they received at our dance and we were
delighted to have them.
Co-president Don Hanson and myself and our wives look forward to
continuing the Good Times dance tradition for 2012.
